SUMMARY:Rapid Recovery TMS - Info Session
DESCRIPTION:We are so blessed in Wilmington to have access to this drug-free treatment option for people whose depression isn’t responding to medication. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is precise and quick. Treatments are just 5 mins as opposed to 45 minutes to an hour for regular TMS. They are covered by Medicare and most insurance companies. Treatment includes 36 sessions. Most people feel some relief after 10-15 sessions. As a grateful patient myself\, I realized a greater lightness of mood and being after just four treatments. \n \nPresented by Carey Sipp. Carey is a solutions journalist\, author\, and mental health advocate who has spent her adult life working to help prevent and heal trauma and build resilience in communities\, families\, and individuals. Her 2007 book The TurnAround Mom (Health Communications\, Inc.) shares\, with honesty\, hope\, and humor\, her personal journey of breaking generational cycles of abuse\, neglect\, and addiction. For more than eight years she has helped lead PACEsConnection.com\, a 62\,000+ member global network advancing the science of positive and adverse childhood and adult experiences (PACEs) and their impact on health across the lifespan. This work brought her to Wilmington\, writing about the New Hanover Resiliency Task Force\, a model among hundreds of resilient communities in the PACEs network. \nCarey is also a grateful patient of Rapid Recovery TMS — the only MRI-guided Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation practice in the Wilmington\, NC region — and speaks about it because she has experienced its power firsthand. \nLove Offering $10
