Meg McBride is the pastor of Hope Recovery\, a United Methodist New Faith Community where everyone is recovering from something (and a is also a person in recovery). She is the Director of The Warming Shelter – an overnight\, cold-weather emergency shelter for the homeless and she works extensively to address homeless issues in Wilmington\, NC. When she rests\, she enjoys painting abstract art\, praying with poetry\, riding her bike and cuddling with her dog Stewie. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nSpecial music by Nimara and Brett \nNimara was born in Wilmington and grew up singing with her family. She learned to play guitar from her uncles. She’s married to her wife Kristin for over 10 years. They have a spunky toddler Ela & 2 fur babies-Sandy & Pepperoni. She sings and plays guitar around town. She has a private chiropractic practice. \nBrett is a Wilmington NC native studied at Atlanta Institute of Music- been playing and teaching music professionally for almost 20 years

It was on the shore and in boats that she learned that everything is connected\, and that Mother Earth is a holy place. She works with people to find the spark of Divinity within themselves. Her new book\, Crafting the Wheel of the Year\, co-authored with British author Claire Gelder\, explores the eight holidays of the Celtic tradition and corresponding craft projects. She and Claire have a contract for a new book\, due out in September\, 2027.  She also is author of A Good Friend for Bad Times\, published in both English and German and in a Kindle version. This book is available at Pomegranate Books in Wilmington\, NC and at online bookstores. Her creative nonfiction work and poetry appear in encore magazine\, Salvation South and County Lines Literary Journals. Deb publishes a periodic Substack. She retired in 2014 as the Associate Director of UNCW’s School of Social Work. Currently she offers courses\, workshops\, and retreats on a variety of spiritual and personal growth topics.
