On Sunday, Aubrey gifted me with this original painting. She wanted me to know she was thinking of me and that she loves me. Aubrey is ten; and obviously, she is an artist. Even her initials spell a-r-t.
Never doubt the power of kindness. Especially the power of small acts of kindness. Never doubt the power contained in letting someone know they matter, that you think of them fondly, that you love them. I am convinced that a string of small acts of kindness and caring could literally heal the entire world.
