Drum Circle – 2:30-3pm

Led by Chrissy Velez.

Drum Circles are a safe space to bring the community together, regardless of any differences we may encounter. There is a giant Oneness among us and music has been the sound of unity since the beginning of humanity. Whether you are drumming, clapping, or dancing along to the beat, you are one with the tones of love, togetherness, and positivity. There is no wrong way to drum! Sometimes we sound like noise and sometimes we sound like total rock stars. Embrace all the various beats! Bring your own drum (or musical instrument of choice) or come just to listen and soak up the energy that flows. We will drum with the intent to uplift and ring in all the blessings and possibilities of a New Year.

Burning Bowl Service – 3pm-4pm

Description: Come and participate in this sacred ritual of release and making room for new possibilities. First we will meditate to bring peace and clarity to mind and heart. Our soul will reveal what it is we are ready to release. We will write it down and burn it in the open fire. After this symbolic letting go, we write once again what we want to fill the open space we’ve created. There is no better way to prepare for the new year. All is well.

Where: 9809 River Road, Wilmington NC at the National Center for Outdoor Adventure Education.

What to bring: folding chair, face covering, pen

Other stuff: Please dress for the weather. This is an outdoor, family friendly event. Check the latest weather report. Event will be cancelled due to rain.
