Our August Service Project partner is NOURISH NC. Their vision is “to be anywhere and everywhere hungry kids need us.” And right now, they are raising money to feed those kids over the summer break.

We’ve had food drives this past year that were a huge success and provided amazing things (cheese, produce, holiday meals, etc.) to folks in our community who needed help. But when it comes to Nourish NC, they can buy more with our dollars than we can (they can buy $4-5 worth of food with every dollar donation they receive). So we are not collecting food this time. We are collecting the money you might spend if we did have a food drive.

Please join us on August 14th, from 9-11 am, when we will gather at Shelter 2 in Halyburton Park to have some coffee and other goodies and to spend some time being together. And to collect your donations for NOURISH NC, who will use their awesome buying power to provide more food boxes to more needy kids.
