Grow, serve, transform…together.

Message by Deb Bowen…Meditation…and special music by Nimara Snyder Gillcrist

Deb is an old beach girl whose connection to the Sacred comes from an abiding love of the sea and sand.  It was on the shore and in boats that she learned that everything is connected, and that Mother Earth is a holy place. She works with people to find the spark of Divinity within themselves.  She is author of A Good Friend for Bad Times, published in both English and German and in a Kindle version. This book is available at Pomegranate Books in Wilmington, NC and at online bookstores. Her creative nonfiction work and poetry appear in Salvation South and County Lines Literary Journals. She publishes a periodic Substack. Her most recent book is scheduled for publication from an international publisher in the fall. She retired in 2014 as the Associate Director of UNCW’s School of Social Work.  Currently she offers courses, workshops, and retreats on a variety of spiritual and personal growth topics. For fun, she gardens and acts in local theater productions.

Nimara was born in Wilmington and graduated from NHHS. She has a degree in biology from NCATSU where she played on the volleyball team for four years. She later was drawn to chiropractic school because of her belief in this premise: the power that made the body heals it. She has been married to Kristin for ten years. They have a 22 month-old daughter as well as two fur babies.
