Celebrate, connect, grow…together!
Guest Speaker Deb Bowen

Deb is an old beach girl whose connection to the Sacred comes from an abiding love of the sea and sand. It was on the shore and in boats that she learned that everything is connected, and that Mother Earth is a holy place. She works with people to find the spark of Divinity within themselves. Her new book, Crafting the Wheel of the Year, co-authored with British author Claire Gelder, explores the eight holidays of the Celtic tradition and corresponding craft projects. She and Claire have a contract for a new book, due out in September, 2027. She also is author of A Good Friend for Bad Times, published in both English and German and in a Kindle version. This book is available at Pomegranate Books in Wilmington, NC and at online bookstores. Her creative nonfiction work and poetry appear in encore magazine, Salvation South and County Lines Literary Journals. Deb publishes a periodic Substack. She retired in 2014 as the Associate Director of UNCW’s School of Social Work. Currently she offers courses, workshops, and retreats on a variety of spiritual and personal growth topics. For fun, she gardens and acts in local theater productions. Find her at debbowen.com
