Here is a question for you: Who do you want to be? Not…
- What do you want to do? or
- What do you want to have? or
- What do you want to accomplish? or
- What do you want to happen?
Not ‘what’ anything. Who do you want to be? In this world. In your life. Maybe start with filling in the blank in this sentence.
I want to be the one who _________________.
Answer this question over and over again. Write it all down. Let your answers become the blueprint for your life. Let the answers guide your choices, thoughts and actions. Let it be what you believe about yourself and the potential you have to influence the world around you.
These are the few that first came to mind for me.
- I want to be the one who others feel safe around.
- I want to be the one who shows up when there is a need.
- I want to be the one who is quiet and grounded in the middle of chaos.
- I want to be the one who can take criticism and not be devastated.
This is an invitation to take some time to consider who you want to be. I think the time will be well spent.
With great humility
