Last Sunday at Spiritual Soul Center I mentioned this quote from Theodore Roosevelt: “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are”. I also reminded everyone that it is no accident that each of us is here on this planet at this time…and that we are here to make a difference. That includes YOU!

There are people making a difference all the time, everywhere. They don’t always get much press. Most things we read in the news are not about the good that people do. But I am always on the lookout and therefore I can always find a story about someone who is making a difference. I look and can find people making a difference everyday in my own personal life wanderings. I want to see the good, I look for it and I find it. And when I do I feel grateful and I thank them if I can.

If you make it a point to look for the good, you will find it. If you practice making a difference you will find the world receptive to your generosity. Not everyone will agree with how you offer your gift to the world. But it’s your gift. You get to decide.

Joe Maddon found ‘his’ way to make a difference. He saw the common ground he shared with the immigrants in his hometown. It moved him into action. Things are changing in Hazelton, Pennsylvania. Take a look at Joe...he is happy!

Thank you Joe. Thank you to all those in Hazelton who see ‘us’…rather than ‘us’ and ‘them’…and who choose to make a difference.

Much love always
Paula
