If you just notice, I mean notice what’s happening around you, you would be inspired often. You don’t have to go to the Grand Canyon, catch a glimpse of the northern lights, or watch the sunset from an island in the Pacific. There doesn’t need to be a stream, lake or ocean. Nature will provide inspiration even in the most mundane and seemingly god-forsaken places.

I’ve probably walked by this flower a few times on my way to a meeting. It’s in a parking lot, springing up from beneath a concrete wheel stop, out of dusty, hard packed gravel. This time I stopped to consider.

How in the world did that happen? I mean look around. It’s dry. It’s hot. Hey, my flowers at home need water and shade every day. And here is this beauty…happy, yellow faces reaching toward the sky as if to say…It’s me. I love my life. That big old hunk of concrete was not going to stop me. I just poked my way around the side and here I am! Blooming and growing. Nothing is gonna stop me from being me!

I experience times in my life where it feels like that hunk of concrete is right on top of me. It’s hot and dry, maybe even miserable. This flower reminded me that all I need is already inside of me…just like it was in the seed of this flower. I only need to be what I came here to be…wherever I find myself. Let my roots grow deep, move around the obstacles and bloom.

Yep.
There you have it.
And don’t forget to bloom.
Much love always
Paula
