Everything is available for my awakening. This is one of my mantras. It is one thing I believe is true. Every situation, person and experience is available for my awakening. They are available for me to use, grow, evolve or make a shift. I can use them to become who and what I want to be.
Of course I have a choice. I don’t have to use these things. I decide to use or ignore or set it aside for later. I’ve done all three with different situations and people at different times in my life. There is no right or wrong. Just a choice.
Before I accepted this mantra, I felt trapped and controlled by people and situations. I would often feel tense and frustrated. Sometimes I felt like a victim and wanted an answer to the ‘why me?’ question. This mantra helped me become more curious. Some things were still hard, but I was different. I liked me better. I noticed beauty more often and in the smallest things. I felt more at ease even in the midst of discomfort.
